Terms of service

Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between Inventory Management Software ("we", "us") and the business that uses Bintree ("you", "the shop"). By creating an account or using the website, web app or mobile app, you agree to them. If you use Bintree for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

1. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate details when you sign up.
  • Keep your password and sign-in codes private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You decide who on your staff gets access and what their role allows. You are responsible for what your staff do in Bintree.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

2. Acceptable use

Use Bintree only for lawful business. Do not:

  • create false invoices, false GST records or any record meant to mislead tax authorities, lenders or customers;
  • send reminders or messages to people who have not agreed to hear from you, or use Bintree to send spam;
  • try to access another shop's data, break or overload the service, or get around its limits or security;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
  • upload anything that is illegal or that you have no right to use.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.

3. Subscription and payment

  • Plans, prices and what each plan includes are shown on our website and in the app. Prices exclude GST unless shown otherwise.
  • New shops may get a free trial. When the trial or a paid period ends, you need to renew to keep using paid features.
  • Fees are charged in advance for each billing period through our payment provider.
  • If a payment is not made, we may limit your account after a short grace period. Your data stays safe and you can still ask for an export.
  • Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund or we agree to one in writing.
  • We will tell you before we change the price of your plan. A new price applies from your next billing period.

4. Your data belongs to you

  • The shop owns its data: products, stock, sales, invoices, customers, suppliers, khata entries and reports.
  • You give us permission to store and process that data only so we can provide Bintree to you.
  • You can export your data at any time. We do not sell it.
  • You are responsible for having the right to record your customers' and suppliers' details. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

5. Your records and tax filings

Bintree helps you keep accounts and prepare GST reports, but it does not replace a chartered accountant. You are responsible for checking your invoices, tax rates and returns before you file or rely on them.

6. Availability and changes to the service

  • We work to keep Bintree running and your data backed up, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted.
  • We may need to take the service down for maintenance. We will try to do this outside shop hours and give notice where we can.
  • We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a major feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.
  • Some features depend on other providers, such as SMS, WhatsApp and payment services. Their outages are outside our control.

7. Limits of our liability

  • Bintree is provided "as is". We do not promise it will suit every business need or be free of errors.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost business or lost goodwill.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

8. Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using Bintree and ask us to close your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or for non-payment.
  • Before an account is closed, you can export your data. After closure, we delete it as described in the privacy policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Bintree after that, the new terms apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
